CaMiKy Arabians was officially
born in 2001, the realization of a dream that started with lead line
in 1972. The farm is owned by Andrea and Dan Thornton, the name is
derived from our children's names, Caitlin, Michael, and Kyle.
With
the purchase of our new home in Frederick, MD, in March of 2003, and
the building of our beautiful new barn, we are now able to pursue
the dream to its fullest. Andrea competed successfully with the Arabian
gelding, T.S. Bandolier for many years in disciplines ranging from
western pleasure to costume, but primarily in hunter, dressage, and
eventing. An extensive background in horse management and national
level success in 4-H and Pony Club led to many years of equine experience, from large farms to small.
Although the farm itself is relatively young, those many years provided a level of education that can only be earned through hands-on training. Our singular focus is the promotion and preservation of the classic Arabian horse: the beauty, the athlete, the treasured companion we know and love. Through our conscientious breeding program and "real world" marketing strategies, our horses are getting noticed. From class "A" to regional and national shows to trail rides in the local park, or representing the breed at the county fair, we are making a difference. As an Arabian Horse Association Discovery Farm, we welcome all visitors, whether already owners of these magical animals or those simply wishing to experience the beauty and majesty that is the Arabian horse.

Our 2006 Region 16 reserve champion and East Coast double top five winner Angelique Bey is also Kyle's personal trail horse!
